We know many of you want to be kept up to the minute regarding games, practices, weather delays or changes and like!  With today's hectic lifestyle, keeping you abreast of what's happening with your child's team is a high priority to us all!

Our league has the ability to send you email udpates and reminders via our supercool AYL website!  As you register your child, please be sure to check their contact info!  There are boxes available for you to check regarding these notifications on the contact section of your child's registration!  If you check the boxes, you will recieve the updates, but if they are left empty, you will not!  Additionally, you can select a wireless phone number to receive text message alerts if you desire.  Just make sure you have the primary number in place, select your wireless provider, and you are ready to go!  

We want to make sure that you are aware of changes to schedules as they happen!  Don't forget to double check your accounts to make sure that you are as connected as you would like to be!  As always, please feel free to contact us for help!

Have you ever wanted to better understand what's going on on the field regarding game play, rules, regulations and conduct?  If so, you would LOVE looking at this year's recently released CVYL (Connecticut Valley Youth Lacrosse) rules and regulations!  You can find it right here on our website on the documents page which is on the left hand side of your screen!

In addition to that, you can find several other useful documents such as consent to treat forms and our mission statement!

If you're ever having trouble finding exactly what you need from the AYL, please feel free to contact any contributor/board member, whose contact info is listed on the left side of the screen as well!

5th Annual Avon Falcon Face Off

Please join us on Sunday, May 20, 2012 for a great day of competitive Select Lacrosse for Senior Youth Girls Teams (7^th and 8^th graders).

Sponsored by the Avon Youth Lacrosse Club, we will again be hosting this event at The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT starting at 9AM (game times TBD).

Our format is a 45 minute running time game - (2) 20 minute halves with a (5) minute halftime and 15 minutes in between games. Guarantee of 3 games. Top 4 teams play for the tournament title in 25 minute running time games. Semi-finalists determined by head-to-head record
(2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss), goals against, and goals for. The day wraps by 4PM.

Food, music and lax merchandise will be on hand.

Cost is $375 per team to handle referee fees and field prep and maintenance.

To all parents and friends of Avon Youth Lacrosse:

Our program, as many youth sports programs, is run entirely by volunteers.  We need your help!  Whether you are a life-long lacrosse player or fan, or new to the game, we have a role for you.  If interested in coaching, serving as team parent or board member, scheduling games, practices or tournaments, or helping with the website, please us to let us know.
