Call for Volunteers!

August 2021

We hope this communication finds you well-rested and coming off a fantastic summer!  As is the case with so many youth organizations across sports, we at Avon Youth Lacrosse (AYL) are continuously planning and fine-tuning our offerings.  Our Board of Directors has strived to provide programs for a range of abilities, experience, and desired levels of competition.  Some of our more forward-facing efforts are below, and a great deal of work happens behind the scenes as well.

These involve Developmental Programs for beginning players (Grades K-2 in-house); Speed Lacrosse Programs for our younger, less experienced players (Grades K-4 in-house); CVGYL and CVYL league games, jamborees, and tournaments (Grades 3-8 across area towns); Falcon Fest Girls’ Elite Tournament (hosted by AYL at Fisher Meadow); AYL Fall Ball Program for those looking to play out of season (Grades K-8 in-house); Clinics; Team Support Coaches from various clubs and colleges.

In our efforts toward continuous improvement, we are looking for some of you to get involved.  Volunteers are what make AYL tick, and the more engagement from our community members, the better the experience for our young athletes.  There are opportunities ranging from coaching to managing teams, from AYL Board involvement to Falcon Fest Committee, and much more!

If you have any interest at all, please reach out and we can explain exactly what the commitment entails, no strings attached. Please contact either Matt Woods, AYL President (860.798.7303 ), or Scott Kossbiel, AYL Chair (860.670.2746 ).

With Thanks,

AYL Board of Directors
